The Amazônia EcoQueer project will present a series of artists' moving image screenings in the United Kingdom and Brazil between 2025 and 2027. To date, the project has held screenings in Newcastle upon Tyne (UK), Belém (Brasil) and Manaus (Brasil). A screening is scheduled to take place in Glasgow (UK) in October 2026 as part of the Scottish Queer International Film Festival. 

The screenings aim to showcase academic research for public engagement, to expand the university's reach, and to engage with the cultural sector. Additionally, these events provide an opportunity to promote the international circulation of LGBTQIAPN+ moving image artists from the Brazilian Amazon.

O projeto Amazônia EcoQueer apresentará uma série de exibições de filmes experimentais no Reino Unido e no Brasil entre 2025 e 2027. Até o momento, o projeto já realizou exibições em Newcastle upon Tyne (UK), Belém (Brasil) e Manaus (Brasil). Uma exibição está programada para acontecer em outubro de 2026 como parte da programação do Festival Internacional de Cinema Queer da Escócia.

As exibições têm como objetivo divulgar pesquisas acadêmicas para um engajamento público, ampliar o alcance da universidade e interagir com o setor cultural. Além disso, esses eventos oferecem uma oportunidade de promover a circulação internacional de obras de artistas LGBTQIAPN+ da Amazônia brasileira.
